Vijayawada: High drama unfolded in the legislative council on Monday as proceedings were disrupted following protests by YSRCP members during Question Hour. The members rushed to the chairman's podium, raising slogans and demanding an immediate discussion on the alleged links between Heritage and Indapur Dairy.
Despite repeated appeals from Chairman Koyye Moshenu Raju to maintain order and allow the House to continue with its scheduled agenda, the protesting members refused to relent. Their continued sloganeering forced Question Hour to be stalled midway, bringing legislative business to a halt.

Several ministers strongly condemned the conduct of the YSRCP members, terming their behaviour "irresponsible" and "an insult to democratic traditions". They said the disruption deprived legislators of the opportunity to raise important public issues and undermined the sanctity of the House.
Later in the day, State Food and Civil Supplies minister Nadendla Manohar said, "We should make full use of the time of the legislative assemblies. Our responsibility is to bring grassroots issues to the attention of the govt in a strong and effective manner. YSRCP members should respect the House and make use of valuable time."
He urged Jana Sena representatives to focus on meaningful debates and strategic interventions in both the Assembly and the Council.
