VIJAYAWADA: A woman chopped off his lover’s genitals for keeping an illegal relationship with another woman in Kondapi of Prakasham district on Friday. According to police, the complainant Chaganti Harinarayana (58), a resident of Mugachinthala village in Kondapi mandal, was engaged in farming activities. He was in live-in relationship with the accused Chaganti Padma of the same village. However, Padma had the suspicion that the complainant has started an illegal relationship with another woman. While he was sleeping in his house, the accused chopped his genitals with a blade and fled the place. On hearing the cries of Harinarayana, locals rushed to his house and found him in a pool of blood and screaming for help. The victim was immediately rushed to Kondapi government hospital, and later shifted to Ongole RIMS for better treatment. Police have registered a case. TNN
