Two women done to death by relative

GUNTUR: In a gruesome incident, two women were brutally murdered by her close relative in

town in the early hours of Thursday.

street in the town had a dispute with his brother Nageswara Rao over sharing of a family property.

is said to hatched a plan to eliminate his sister-in-law suspecting that she was influencing his brother in not parting with the asset. Learning that his elder brother is away from home, Hanumantha Rao visited the former's house and interacted with sister-in-law

Nagamani

(40) in the late hours of Wednesday. However, Nagamani's daughter Sailakshmi (21) objected to his uncle visiting them in the late hours and that too when her father was away.

Angered by her reaction, Hanumantha Rao reportedly hit Sailakshmi with an iron rod leaving her dead on the spot. He later chased and attacked Nagamani who too died instantaneously. The accused fled the scene soon after killing both the women. Upon information, local DSP Mahesh visited the spot and started investigation.
