Two sentenced to life in Srikakulam murder case
Visakhapatnam: A local court in Sompeta of Srikakulam district has sentenced two people to life imprisonment in a three-year-old murder case. Anand Setti (45) was found murdered on July 30, 2022, at Kuladi village under Mandasa police station limits in the district. Ananda was a native of the Ganjam district in Odisha and married Tilottamma, and the couple stayed in Hyderabad for a while and later settled in Gowda Gurandi village for livelihood.The investigation has revealed that Konda Ramesh and Bhubaneswar Behara, natives of Gowda Gurandi, befriended Anand and consumed liquor occasionally. However, Ramesh and Behara insulted Anand over some issues, which has led to fights among them.On July 30, the trio on a bike had gone to Kuladi for a liquor party and during an argument, Ramesh and Behara strangled Anand to death. The police arrested the duo and filed a chargesheet. The court sentenced the duo to life and slapped a fine of Rs 1,000 on each convict.
