Two arrested for hotelier couple’s murder in Nellore

Vijayawada: Police arrested two persons on Wednesday in connection with the murder of a hotelier couple last Saturday. The accused are close relatives of the killed and were helpers in deceased’s hotel.According to the police, Vasireddy Krishna Rao (54) and Suneetha (50) were killed at their residence in Padarupalli of Nellore on Saturday late night. Police initially suspected that unknown burglars might have killed the couple.However, the investigation revealed that they were murdered by M Shiva Kumar (26), who worked as a supplier at the catering service run by Krishna Rao since 2011, and the couple’s relative, K Ramakrishna (22) of Tirupathi.Both the accused had participated in the last rites of the couple so that no one doubted them, police said.
