Train service between Srikakulam and Tirupati to begin from April 13
Visakhapatnam: The railway department has approved the service of first direct train service to Tirupati from Srikakulam, which will start from April 13. The Humsafar Express train will depart from Tirupati every Sunday evening and reach Srikakulam Road station on Monday. It will start from Srikakulam Road every Monday afternoon and reach Tirupati on Tuesday morning. Until now, the people of Srikakulam district have relied on train services starting from Bhubaneswar or Visakhapatnam.The Srikakulam district passengers travelling via Visakhapatnam for Tirumala darshan have been facing difficulty in getting berths and other problems. Due to the continuous efforts of Union Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, the first direct regular train service from Srikakulam to Tirupati has been approved.With this new service, devotees will have a more convenient journey and more berths available, stated Union minister Rammohan Naidu. He mentioned that since he became an MP, he has consistently pursued this goal with railway ministers, the railway board, the DRM and in zonal meetings. He expressed gratitude to the railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on behalf of the people of Srikakulam district. He also stated that he will work towards starting more new train services from Srikakulam in the coming days and will advance the district's railway progress.
