Three injured in faction feud between YSRC cadres

Tirupati: Factionalism within the YSRC cadre led to clashes within two groups in the late hours of Sunday at Chandragiri.
Three persons suffered grievous injuries.
According to Chandragiri police, three youngsters belonging to the YSRC were chatting at Kothapeta Bhavaninagar in Chandragiri when a group of about 8 men arrived in bikes and attacked the trio with knives.
The three youngsters, identified as Ugranam Chandrasekhar Reddy, Prasad and Muniraja sustained knife injuries.
Locals who heard the victims cry for help rushed to the spot and managed to get hold of one of the attackers while the others managed to flee.
On being informed about the incident, the Chandragiri police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the government hospital in Tirupati for treatment.
One of the attackers, who the locals had kept in their custody was arrested by the police. Chandragiri cops have identified him as as Bala.
According to the police, the attack was carried out by a group of youngsters who were also members of YSRC. Police have registered a case and further investigation in underway.
