TDP moves HC against repolling

VIJAYAWADA: TDP moved AP high court challenging the repolling in Chandragiri. TDP MLA candidate Pulivarti Nani and Chittoor LS candidate Siva Prasad moved two separate petitions. Challenging the repolls following a complaint by YSRC MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Nani said the EC acted in a partisan manner, adding that TDP also lodged plea for repolling in certain polling booths but the plea was not considered.
Siva Prasad argued that the EC cannot order a re-poll based on complaints filed by political parties. EC was asked by the court to submit the details. The case was posted to Saturday.
