TDP infighting to the fore at Satyavedu
Tirupati: The infighting in ruling TDP came to the fore on Thursday, a day Nara Lokesh's visit to Tirupati district. Satyavedu TDP MLA Koneti Adimoolam's son Koneti Suman, who is also the ZPTC member of Narayanavanam mandal, accused the party leadership of showing "disrespect" to his father. Suman challenged the recent appointment of Sankar Reddy as the programme coordinator for the predominantly Dalit constituency, as the Adimoolam group was backing Ganga Prasad for the post. Taking the political narrative to a new low, Suman demanded the party to reimburse Rs 100 crore spent by Adimoolam for the elections, if it wanted him to step down as MLA. He further alleged that hundreds of tipper loads of gravel and sand were illegally being transported from Satyavedu to Tamil Nadu and accused the district administration of remaining indifferent, despite several complaints raised by the MLA.
