Vijayawada: Khajipalem athletes I Srinidhi annd Manasa won gold medal in 800m, 400m events in the U-19 years girls category of the AP state SGF athletic meet being held at Srikakulam on Sunday, informed Y Sambasiva Rao, athletic coach. Srindhi also won silver medal in the 1500m. Another athlete M Leela Pravalika won two gold medals in 800m, 1500m events in the U-17 girls category.
AISTA Senior Natl tennis from Jan 23
AISTA Senior National Tennis Championship for men in the age group of 35+, 45+, 55+, 65+ and 70+ will be held at Vikram Tennis Academy, DSK Nagar, Srikalahasti from January 23-29, informed tournament director Dr V Chandrasekhar. A total of 400 players and officials are expected to take part in this tournament. Qualifying rounds will start from January 23 by 11am and main draw matches will be from January 25.
