Spurious liquor mastermind, three aides held; 1,000 litres of rectified spirit seized
GUNTUR: The prohibition and excise sleuths have arrested four more persons involved in the spurious liquor racket that was busted in Gadevaripalem near Repalle in Guntur district. The racket was busted four days ago and the officials have unearthed a mini-distillery set-up by the perpetrators.

from Vasai in Maharashtra as the main supplier of rectified spirit. The illegal distillery was set-up in the month of November. Three orders for rectified spirit was placed each consignment consisting 5 barrels. Each barrel consist 200 litres of rectified spirit. While two of the consignments were delivered one consignment was seized by the excise sleuths on Saturday.The excise officials also probing the role of one Tummala Kiran Kumar working as junior assistant in excise department who was a close relative of main perpetrator Sashi Kumar.
