RINL achieves impressive growth across production, sales segments, 22 per cent rise in annual turnover
Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), has recorded a 52 per cent surge in key production areas in 2025-26 financial year compared to that of the previous fiscal. It reported a 22 per cent rise in annual turnover amid improved efficiency.The RINL management said that RINL recorded a strong performance during the financial year 2025–26, achieving significant growth across key production and sales parameters compared to the previous year. Hot metal production reached 5.95 million tons, up from 3.91 million tons in 2024–25, registering a growth of 52 percent. Liquid Steel production increased to 5.69 million tons from 3.75 million tons, also marking a 52 percent rise. Crude steel production stood at 5.43 million tons as against 3.58 million tons in the previous year, showing a growth of 51 percent.On the sales front, RINL achieved a sales turnover of about Rs 22,311 crore up from Rs 18,288 crore in 2024–25, reflecting a 22 percent increase. Sales volume also improved significantly, reaching about 4.42 million tons compared to 3.49 million tons last year, registering a growth of 27 percent.
The strong performance highlights improved operational efficiency, enhanced capacity utilization, and better market reach. The growth across production and sales parameters reflects the sustained efforts of employees and the company's focus on productivity, cost control, and customer satisfaction. RINL continues to focus on strengthening its core operations, improving product quality, and expanding its market presence in the coming years.
