Principal booked over viral intimate video in Andhra Pradesh

VIJAYAWADA: A principal of an AP minority residential school in Krishna district was booked after a video of him getting intimate with a woman staff in the school went viral. In the recent past, a woman staff of the same school had complained against the principal alleging harassment.
CI M Rajashekar of Chilakalapudi police station told TOI that B Ananda Kumar (45) has been the school principal since the last three months, and two cases have been booked against him during this time. Initially, a student had complained to the police against the principal alleging physical assault. Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Police found that the boy had shot a video of the principal being intimate with a woman staffer, which went viral on social media, and was therefore thrashed by the principal.
After learning about the development, district educational authorities ordered an inquiry into the incident and suspended the principal. After examining the videos and collecting details from the students and teachers of the school, a report will be submitted to the secretary of the AP Residential Society for departmental action. Further investigation is underway.
