Vijayawada: Bhattiprolu police in Bapatla district have issued notices to former minister Jogi Ramesh in connection with a case related to alleged derogatory remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.According to police officials, Jogi Ramesh has been asked to submit his explanation within a week. The case was originally registered on Feb 2, 2026, at the Bhattiprolu police station following complaints over his statements. Police have invoked sections 196(1), 352, 351(2), and 296 read with 3(5) of the BNSS in the case. Authorities stated that the notices are part of the ongoing investigation process.The development has drawn attention in political circles, as the case involves a former minister and pertains to remarks made against the sitting chief minister. Further action will depend on the response submitted by Jogi Ramesh.
