Nellore dist to host over 7 lakh TDP workers at Mahanadu

Tirupati: Kovur in Nellore district, which has been chosen for the first time as the ideal venue for TDP annual conclave Mahanadu 2026, is all set to host 7 lakh-plus Karyakartas from across the globe on the final day of the three-day Mahanadu to be held between May 27-29.Netas of the ruling TDP, including state ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Dr Ponguru Narayana, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Kovur legislator and TDP politburo member Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy, Nellore Rural legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and several other leaders, took part in the ground-breaking ceremony at the TDP Mahanadu 2026 venue near IFFCO Kisan SEZ near Kovur on Wednesday.Speaking to reporters after taking part in the Bhumi Puja, state endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy predicted that the final-day public meeting on May 29 is likely to witness an unprecedented participation of over 7 lakh Karyakartas from across the globe."There is great amount of excitement among the TDP activists as the Mahanadu is being held for the first time in Nellore district since the inception of the TDP about four and a half decades ago. As Nellore district is renowned for its hospitality, the best of arrangements for the three-day Mahanadu will be made, keeping in mind the requirements of the mega congregation," Anam asserted.Nellore TDP MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy stated that around 25,000 TDP delegates will take part in the two-day workshop that is scheduled to be held on the first two days of the Mahanadu."Discussions during the delegates meeting will revolve around how to guide the party to focus its efforts and attention on both short-term and long-term measures required to drive the state onto the path of unprecedented development coming out of the ruins unleashed during the YSRCP misrule in the state."Kovur TDP MLA Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy observed that the party leadership chose Kovur to convene the prestigious annual conclave Mahanadu due to the availability of a land parcel of close to 2,200 acres near the IFFCO Kisan SEZ."With close to 25,000-plus party delegates, chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, state and central ministers, MLAs, MPs, MLCs, corporation chairmen, nominated bodies members, etc likely to take part in the Mahanadu, there is an extra onus on us to create adequate accommodation, parking and other amenities at the Mahanadu venue. Given the fact that this is the first time that the TDP Mahanadu is being held in Nellore district, we have initiated works to put in place some of the best arrangements for the three-day party conclave, which is scheduled less than three weeks away," Prashanti Reddy asserted.
