Vijayawada: Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday warned opposition parties against attempts to disturb law and order, declaring there would be no place for rowdyism or factionalism under his rule. He cautioned that the government would act firmly against those defaming it through social media or provoking unrest, stressing that such elements would be exposed and dealt with strictly.
Speaking at the
TDP central office on the 30th death anniversary of TDP founder and former chief minister NT Rama Rao, Naidu said peace and stability were vital for governance and development. He paid floral tributes to NTR, describing him as a visionary who combined welfare with development and introduced reforms in social justice, women's empowerment, and administration.
"The state needs law and order for investments and growth. Anyone attempting to disturb peace for political gains will face serious consequences," he said, adding that the coalition govt would not tolerate organised misinformation campaigns aimed at destabilising the administration.
Naidu said the TDP founder continued to live in the hearts of Telugu people and remained the tallest symbol of Telugu self-respect. He described NTR as a visionary who defined good governance, introduced welfare and development hand in hand, and brought transformative reforms in social justice, women empowerment and administration.
The chief minister further said the present coalition govt followed the same path by strengthening welfare schemes and development programmes. He highlighted initiatives such as Anna canteens, large-scale housing for the poor, enhanced pensions, job creation through mega DSC and police recruitment, and the repeal of the land titling law. He said land records were being secured through re-survey, blockchain technology and QR codes, warning that any tampering would invite jail terms.
Naidu reiterated the govt's commitment to providing water to every acre and completing key projects, including Polavaram by June 2027. He said the govt was reducing power purchase costs to ease the burden on consumers and reaffirmed the promise that electricity charges would not be increased. Emphasising the role of party workers, the chief minister said TDP had an unmatched cadre base whose sacrifices made the party's return to power possible. He assured continued support to party workers and their families and stressed accountability in governance.
Stating that political stability was essential for sustained development, Chandrababu Naidu said the state regained confidence within 18 months of the new govt. Ministers, MLAs, senior leaders and a large number of party workers attended the programme. State party president Palla Srinivasa Rao, ministers and senior leaders were present.
