Vijayawada: A minor fire broke out on the first floor of the Vijayawada bus stand in Vijayawada on Sunday, triggering brief panic among staff and commuters.According to the information, the fire was suspected to have been caused by a short circuit near ceiling fans in one of the rooms on the first floor. The flames quickly spread to nearby materials, burning old furniture, outdated computer systems and office files stored in the area.Upon receiving information, the fire department personnel rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control in a short span of time, preventing it from spreading further.No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
