Man booked for threatening acid attack after woman refused sex demand in Rompicherla

Vijayawada: Rompicherla police in Palnadu district registered an FIR against a 32-year-old plumber, Samuel, for allegedly threatening to carry out an acid attack on his sister-in-law after she rejected his demand for sexual relations. The incident reportedly occurred on February 16 in Annavaram village under Rompicherla police station limits. Police said the accused went to the victim's house around 8 pm, when she was alone. The victim, a widow and mother of three sons, was allegedly forced to submit to his demand. She resisted, and family members who noticed the incident intervened and beat him up.
