Indapur got ghee supply contract without taking part in tender process, alleges Bhumana
Tirupati: Alleging that Indapur Dairy was considered as L-2 (second bidder) without even taking part in a particular tender call, former TTD chief Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Wednesday questioned his successor BR Naidu why it was awarded ghee supply contract for 10 lakh kgs. Bhumana pointed out that, as per a TTD board resolution passed in Oct 2025, only Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) took part in the tender for supply of 20 lakh kgs of cow ghee. "After KMF, which was the single tenderer, informed TTD that it would supply 10 lakh kgs of ghee, TTD said the supply contract for the remaining 10 lakh kgs was awarded to L-2 (Indapur Dairy). Why was this dairy, which did not even take part in the tender call, considered L-2 bidder in this case?" he asked.

Bhumana also claimed that KMF, which informed TTD that it would supply only 10 lakh out of the 20 lakh kgs of ghee in Oct, took part in the tenders floated by TTD the very next month (Nov 2025), but the supply of 10 lakh kgs of cow ghee in this tender was awarded to Indapur Dairy, which was declared as the L-1 bidder.
