Bandaru Dattatreya offered special prayers to the presiding deity Goddess Kanakadurga on Tuesday. The governor, who arrived in the city in the morning, visited the temple.
Minister for endowments, Velampalli Srinivas, and temple officials received the governor with temple honours. The minister and the temple officials also felicitated the visiting governor.
Later, Dattatreya visited state governor Biswabhushan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan.

, secretary to governor, welcomed Dattatreya to Raj Bhavan. Harichandan and Dattatreya exchanged pleasantries.
Chief minister Y S
Jagan Mohan Reddy called on Dattatreya at the hotel he is staying. The chief minister detailed the series of welfare initiatives of his government to the HP governor. DGP Gautham Sawang and other senior officials also visited the visiting governor on the day.
Earlier in the day, Dattatreya paid rich tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary. Dattatreya urged the youth to follow the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
