have tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. Anantapur alone reported seven positive cases on Wednesday, including four from Anantapur, two from Hindupur and one from

Kalyanadurg

. In all, the state recorded 34 fresh positive cases, taking the tally to 348. Guntur registered the highest number of cases of 14, followed by Anantapur 7,

Nellore

and Krishna 6 each, Chittoor 3, Prakasam 3 and West Godavari 1.

Meanwhile, as a ray of hope, three Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from GIMSR Hospital in Visakhapatnam after their three consecutive samples turned out to be negative for Covid. These include a 49-year-old woman from Allipuram of Vizag city, who acquired the disease from her 65-year-old husband, who first tested positive following his return from Mecca. Her husband was already sent to the home on March 31.

The other two include a son-father duo from Padmanabham mandal in

Visakhapatnam district

. The 25-year-old son with a travel history to UK first tested positive for the disease and subsequently his 51-year-old father.

said that four coronavirus patients were successfully treated so far in the district. “A patient was discharged in the last week, while three more were sent to their homes after being tested negative in three consequent tests on Wednesday,” said Vinay Chand.
