Tirupati: Former YSRCP minister Ambati Rambabu appeared before the Vempalle and Pulivendula police for questioning on Thursday in connection with cases booked against him for allegedly making derogatory remarks on chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Following a complaint lodged by local
TDP leader Rama Muni Reddy, the Pulivendula and Vempalle police registered cases against Ambati Rambabu under various sections of the BNS Act on Feb 1. After appearing before the police, Ambati Rambabu paid his respects to former chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy at the YSR ghat at Idupulapaya on Thursday. Ambati Rambabu stated that the YSRCP leaders cannot be intimidated by the false cases being booked against them and asserted that he took a vow to put up a relentless fight to oust the TDP-led NDA regime in the state soon.
