Deepika Padukone praises Vijayawada's greenery

VIJAYAWADA: Bollywood heartthrob, Deepika Padukone is said to have fallen in love with the greenery in Vijayawada. She promised the thrill of fans, who had been waiting since morning to catch a glimpse of the matinee idol, to come back to the city soon.

was given the most active south Indian actor award. Kolaveri Di song composer Anirudh Ramachandran was also conferred with the award of music sensation on social media. These awards were given as part of Social Media Summit and Awards instituted by the AP tourism department in collaboration with few social media companies.

She made an impression by coming in a traditional saree and uttering few lines in Telugu. Fans went gaga over her Telugu. She said “Nenu Mimmalni Premisthunanu (I Love you all). Naku Meeru antha Chala nacharu (I liked you all). I loved the greenery. I saw lot of greenery while landing and roads are also very good. I hope and wish to come back to the city soon. I’m very happy to be here and happy to be invited.”

She also had an advice to all who are always hooked to social media platforms. “We need not react to everything on social media,” she said. Deepika further said that she is not so active on social media but has many followers to her on Facebook and Instagram.

“Am not so active on social media. But I have so many followers on various social media platforms. Though I don’t share everything on social media I do share all the important events of my life. I have a clear channel with my fans. I know and understand the influence and power of social media. I would love to do more work. Whatever I’m here today its all due to my fans, admirers and audience like this,” Deepika said.

There was an electrifying atmosphere at the venue with chants of Deepika for almost all the time she was around.
