Andhra Pradesh: Couple attempts suicide, man dies

VIJAYAWADA

: A man and his wife attempted

suicide

by consuming pesticide at Brother Joseph Thamby Tomb church in Pedda Avutupalli village under Unguturu mandal of Krishna district on Tuesday.

Babu, who worked as a postmaster in Unguturu area. Locals rushed them to Pinnamaneni hospital where Raghu died while receiving treatment. His wife Rani is in a critical condition. Cops said Raghu was depressed after he was suspended from his job recently and was struggling to repay the money he had borrowed from people, which may have forced him to take the extreme step.
