Vemuru: Launching a sharp attack on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu declared that anyone unwilling to recognise Amaravati as the capital city has no right to rule Andhra Pradesh. He accused Jagan of spreading malicious propaganda to destabilise the state.
Addressing a public meeting at Surepalli village in Vemuru constituency, Bapatla district, after launching the 'Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku' initiative, Naidu said forces acting with rowdyism and "psycho behaviour" must be rejected. He warned that Andhra Pradesh, already scarred by bifurcation and misrule, cannot afford further disruption. Defending Amaravati's infrastructure push, Naidu dismissed claims of a ₹2 lakh crore burden as false, reiterating that the capital project is self-financing. He alleged that Jagan floated the Mavigun proposal out of resentment toward Amaravati's development backed by Parliament.
Naidu announced that the govt is determined to complete the Resurvey 2.0 process by March 2027 and distribute 1.12 crore Pattadar Passbooks, ensuring secure, tamper-proof land ownership for every eligible citizen.
He said a massive overhaul of land records is underway to restore public confidence and eliminate disputes.
Highlighting advanced security features, Naidu said the new Pattadar Passbooks will use blockchain technology, QR codes, and digital locking systems. "These documents cannot be tampered with. Ownership rights are fully protected, and no one can take over your property unless the owner unlocks it through e-KYC and Aadhaar authentication," he asserted.
The chief minister also announced key policy decisions: removal of 1.37 lakh acres of service inam lands from the prohibited 22A list, with another 1 lakh acres to be freed soon. Beneficiaries who received house-site pattas before 2016 under government housing schemes will now be allowed to register their properties, enabling sale and gift transactions—a move expected to benefit nearly 75 lakh poor families.
Naidu further said ownership rights will be granted for 9.25 lakh acres of eligible freehold lands. "We are cleansing the revenue system to provide trust in people's lives and security for their assets," he added. Housing minister Parthasarathi, revenue minister Anagani Satyaprasad, former minister Nakka Anand Babu, district collector Vinod Kumar and others were present.
