Case filed against coaching centre director for women harassment in Vizianagaram

Visakhapatnam: The Vizianagaram district police registered a case against the director of a private coaching centre for allegedly sexually harassing women students and exploiting some of them. The accused was identified as Saripalli Srinivasa Rao, director of Vinex Coaching Centre in Vizianagaram town.More than 30 women who were undergoing coaching for the DSC examination in the at the centre staged a protest and lodged a complaint at the II-Town police station in Vizianagaram. They alleged that Srinivasa Rao had been sexually harassing students.They further alleged that the accused sexually exploited a few women by offering more marks in the mock tests and harassed others on the pretext of conducting private classes.The police received the complaint and transferred the case to the women's police station for investigation. The police said the coaching centre has been operating for the past 15 years, and 80 people, including 75 women, were undergoing training here. The police said a senior officer will investigate the case. The coaching centre director has reportedly been absconding since Wednesday.
