Spanning 3.1 km across the Krishna River, the bridge links NH-65 near Gollapudi with N13 Road in Amaravati, offering a vital bypass route.

Commuters like govt employee Govinda Rajulu said the bridge cut travel time by an hour and saved fuel, showing its long-term value.

Engineers confirmed the bridge effectively eased traffic pressure in Vijayawada during the PM’s event, with no major jams reported.

80% work completed
Officials said the bridge is 80% done, with approach roads and signage to be completed in 2–3 months before full public access.
Diverts Vijayawada traffic
