AP government partners with BYST to launch entrepreneurship training programme for MSMEs

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has partnered with Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) to launch an Entrepreneurship Training & Mentoring Programme (ETMP) aimed at strengthening nano and micro enterprises across the state.The Letter of Intent (LoI) between Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (APMSMEDC) and BYST was exchanged during the ‘One Family-One Entrepreneur MSME Growth Summit 2026’ held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kala Vedika in Vijayawada. Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu ceremonially presented the LoI in the presence of senior officials, industry leaders and stakeholders from the MSME sector.Under the partnership, entrepreneurship training, mentoring support, digital learning and business guidance programmes will be implemented across Andhra Pradesh. The initiative aims to support nearly 10,000 nano and micro entrepreneurs and create a network of around 4,000 trained mentors to provide long-term guidance.The programme will also focus on entrepreneurship orientation, financial literacy, market linkages and grassroots outreach activities across districts and industrial clusters. Officials said the initiative is expected to strengthen the MSME ecosystem and promote self-employment opportunities under the state government’s ‘One Family-One Entrepreneur’ vision.
Lakshmi Venkataraman Venkatesan, Founding and Managing Trustee of BYST, said the partnership aims to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with “the confidence, networks and opportunities they need to build sustainable businesses, create jobs and strengthen local economies.”
