GUNTUR: Andhra Pradesh BJP President P.V.N. Madhav called for changing the names of landmarks that are remnants of colonial or oppressive past, such as Jinnah Tower in Guntur. He participated in 'Chai Pe Charcha' program in Guntur on Tuesday. He said that programme is aimed at solving public problems.He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he is working tirelessly for the country's development, and that his thoughts are an inspiration for the program.Madhav emphasized the need for model colonies with modern amenities like CCTV cameras, sanitation, and lighting, citing the example of 'Modi Colonies'. Madhav stressed the importance of respecting individual freedom to practice one's faith, saying "I will chant 'Jai Shri Ram', others can follow their own faith, and we should respect that". He also assured that the BJP will work towards the development of Guntur and Vijayawada cities.
