Vadodara stray dog row: Feeding sparks violent clash; 3 family members injured, FIR filed

VADODARA: The feeding of a stray dog led to three members of a family being attacked by neighbours in the Tarsali area of the city late on Tuesday night. Two of the victims were injured and needed medical treatment after the attack at Amrutnagar Society. Makarpura police registered a complaint against three neighbours of the victims — Sanjay Chaudhary, Kinjal Chaudhary and Heena Baria.According to the FIR filed by Priyank Patil, who works in interior design, his mother Maya went outside to feed a stray dog at their colony gate. Sanjay went there with a stick and tried to hit the dog. When Maya, 61, told Sanjay not to hit the animal, he began abusing her. Sanjay's wife Kinjal and Heena, a neighbour, also began arguing with Maya.Priyank and his elder brother Rushabh rushed in when Sanjay allegedly assaulted Maya. Sanjay then allegedly hit Priyank on the head with a sharp weapon and also struck Rushabh. When other neighbours gathered at the spot, the accused trio fled. Priyank and Rushabh suffered injuries to their heads and were rushed to hospital for treatment.
