Addl EO Dharma Reddy appointed SVBC chief

Tirupati: In a move to streamline administration at the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (

SVBC

), the TTD trust board has appointed additional executive officer

AV Dharma Reddy

as managing director of the channel.

Earlier this month, Tollywood actor Prudhvi Raj stepped down from chairmanship of SVBC after an audio clip in which he allegedly made sexual advances to a female employee at the channel surfaced.

In an attempt to control the damage caused by the leak and streamline administration, the TTD trust board appointed Dharma Reddy as the managing director of the channel.

Following his appointment as additional executive officer at Tirumala, Dharma Reddy had cracked the whip against the black marketing of seva and VIP break darshan tickets, irregularities in accommodation and prasadam at the temple town, as well as taken action against other corrupt practices.

Taking all this into account, the TTD trust board was learnt to have been inclined towards choosing him for the post of managing director at its devotional channel.
