Women protest against seer’s claim on RSS

Varanasi: A group of women associated with Dalit Mahila Parishad protested against the alleged statement by Swami Avimukteshwaranand, at Lamahi village in Varanasi on Thursday. The women alleged that Swami Avimukteshwaranand had recently claimed that 10 lakh Hindu women had been married into Muslim families and this was facilitated by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In a viral video of the statement, the protesters said, the Swami had claimed this information was given to him by senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar. The protesters led by Dalit women leader Khushi Raman took out a march against the seer from the Munshi Premchand Smarak to the Premchand Smriti Dwar. They alleged that the seer wants to topple the govt and defame the RSS. Indresh Kumar has dismissed Swami's claim as false. Nazma Parveen of Muslim Mahila Foundation, who came to support the Dalit Mahila Parishad, asked why the seer kept silent for years if these 10 lakh marriages were indeed being solemnised.
