Gorakhpur: The three-day annual Urs-e-Pak at the dargah of Hazrat Mubarak Khan Shaheed concluded on Friday in a spiritually uplifting and patriotic atmosphere, with the final day dedicated to soldiers guarding the nation’s borders.The concluding day witnessed traditional rituals including Quran recitation, Mehfil-e-Milad, and the Kul Sharif ceremony. Special prayers were offered for peace, communal harmony, and global well-being.Addressing the gathering, Dargah Sadar Ikrar Ahmad said that Islam promotes the values of humanity, equality, and brotherhood. He stressed that the nation’s progress depends on unity and mutual respect. The event reflected strong communal harmony, with participation from people across different faiths.Pilgrims from Gorakhpur and neighbouring districts including Kushinagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Azamgarh, and Ambedkar Nagar as well as from Nepal attended the Urs in large number.A large-scale langar was organised after Friday prayers, with participation from all communities. The evening featured a vibrant qawwali programme, with noted performers Sam Ali Niyazi (Badaun) and Intezaar Sabri (Uttarakhand) captivating the audience with their Sufi renditions.
