NEW DELHI: Unidentified individuals threw stones at the Kashi Vishwanath Express near Dhaneta Halt, close to Fatehganj West, damaging a window of the B-1 coach, a railway official reported on Monday.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred on Saturday as the train was traveling from Delhi to Varanasi.

Ajit Pratap Singh, Station In-Charge of the Bareilly Railway Police Force (RPF), stated that the stone-pelting incident caused the coach window to crack. The event prompted the filing of an FIR in Rampur.

In response, the RPF has launched a search operation in villages along the railway line, spanning areas from Bareilly Junction to Chandausi, Moradabad, and Shahjahanpur, to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack, Singh added.
