PNB hosts MSME outreach programme
Gorakhpur: A mega MSME outreach programme was organised by Punjab National Bank at its Gorakhpur divisional office on Monday, as part of a nationwide initiative to enhance customer convenience and expand credit access.
Chief guest Ram Prakash (PCS), additional chief executive officer of the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) inaugurated the event. Other dignitaries included R N Singh, president, and S K Agrawal, former president, of the Chamber of Industry, Gorakhpur, along with Rajesh Kumar Arora, deputy general manager at PNB’s head office.
Divisional head (DGM) MK Mohan outlined the objective of boosting MSME lending. He said similar outreach programmes are being conducted across four districts — Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar and Sant Kabir Nagar — covering 93 branches.
Loan sanction letters were distributed to customers during the event. Mohan added that the bank will organise a Mega Agri Outreach Programme on May 8 to further support the local economy.
