Kabirchaura hosp to turn into multi-specialty healthcare complex
Varanasi: Shivprasad Gupt Divisional Hospital in Kabirchaura will transform into a super multi-speciality healthcare complex. The 318-bed hospital will be demolished, and a 500-bed multi-super-speciality hospital will be constructed at Rs 315 crore. In the new facility, patients from Purvanchal will get quality and affordable healthcare services, diagnosis, treatment and emergency medical aid, all under one roof and reduce patient load. The aim is to make healthcare easily accessible to millions of patients from Purvanchal and neighbouring states Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. Chief medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr Brijesh Kumar, said the hospital building will have two towers. It will have ground plus 8 floors along with two basements. The second building of G plus 14 floors will be residential. The basement parking will accommodate 600 four-wheelers and two-wheelers. New technology will be used in the parking, which will use vertical lifts in limited space to park multiple cars one above the other. The technology uses hydraulic or mechanical lifts to move vehicles up and down, allowing 2-3 cars to be parked in the space of 1 car.
Super speciality services will include cardiology with cath lab, angiography, angioplasty, gastrology, urology, nephrology, plastic surgery, neuro surgery, neurology, oncology and neonatology. There will be manifold, LMO liquid medical gas, ETP, STP and 24-hour power backup. Facilities such as ultrasound, digital X-ray, CT scan, MRI, mammography and FNAC will be available. Special facilities will include 2D Echo and MRI.
