The PM is scheduled to hold a roadshow in the city on May 13 and file his nomination papers on May 14.

CM Yogi reviewed security and other arrangements for the PM's visit with the district administration and police. He also convened a meeting with BJP office bearers and poll managers to gauge the party's preparations for making Modi's proposed roadshow a grand event.

Meanwhile, Shah participated in the grand Ganga Aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat in the evening. Subsequently, he held meetings with party functionaries and prominent citizens of the city, while also assessing the party's election management.

According to the BJP's itinerary, the PM is slated to arrive in Varanasi on May 13 in the late afternoon to conduct the roadshow from Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya's statue in the Lanka area to Kashi Vishwanath Dham in the evening. On May 14 morning, he will file his nomination papers for the Varanasi parliamentary constituency. The Special Protection Group (SPG) team arrived in the city on Friday to coordinate advance security measures and assess the route for the roadshow, as well as arrangements at the nomination venue.
