'Budget is purposeless'

VARANASI: The Samajwadi Party district president Akhilesh Mishra described the Budget as "purposeless" and said there was nothing for the common man in it. The Budget is against the exceptions of the people, he said. While the members of opposition parties criticised the Union Budget, the local Congress leaders described it as "pro-people". A senior Congress leader, Satish Chaubey, said that it was a revolutionary budget particularly for the poor weavers and senior citizens.
