LeBron James and
Michael Jordan are the two most well-known personalities in the NBA. Their impact on the game is unmatched, and fans are still debating their legacies. In the end, the argument comes down to the number of matches they have won or total statistical accumulation. Nevertheless, the GOAT debate is endless. Meanwhile, recently, Bron’s former teammate, Markieff Morris, shed some light on the age-old debate.
Markieff Morris explained LeBron James’ mindset and weighed in on Michael Jordan GOAT debate
Markieff Morris recently appeared on Million Dollaz Worth of Game and answered the question. He said that
LeBron James still views a season of not winning as a “disappointment”. However, according to Morris, he has been to 10 finals and has more than 20 years of basketball behind him. Now, he is able to find some peace.
He further said on the podcast:
“It wasn’t always like that, though… When you win so much or been to like 10 straight finals and then go to the west and be a part of finals and win championships. It’s like, am I going to stress myself out?… Like at some point you just got to let it go.. Like I gave all I had 30 15 and 12, and we lost. Y’all want me to curl up in a corner.”

Then, addressing the comparison, he said:
“It's a different time now… Like Jordan never had to deal with that type of s**t, like went to 10 straight finals before… Like what he supposed to just be like it's the end of the world…”
He continued:
[He is] 40 something years old… He is up there with a leader… And how he was raised in the game. People were raised in different eras of basketball… But it doesn't take away the greatness that what King did too cuz nobody seen that. You can't compare…”
He also clarified that it's not a jab at MJ. He never lost in the
NBA Finals and won six of his eight games. However, he didn't have to deal with the amount of pressure that comes with reaching that point and falling short.
Breaking down the MJ vs Bron’s rivalry: Finals record, stats, and legacy
LeBron James and Michael Jordan have long been compared for the NBA's greatest player award. Despite their combined record-breaking performances,
MVP honors, and titles, it is still unclear which of these two should win the title.

While Bron leads in longevity, total rebounds, and assists, MJ had a perfect 6-0 Finals record and more defensive and scoring awards. While LeBron James has more All-NBA Team selections and holds records for career points, Michael Jordan has a higher Player Efficiency Rating, a higher scoring average, and more defensive honors.
Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time because he won six of the six finals he played in during his career. In contrast, LeBron James has won four NBA titles in his ten games. MJ has an advantage over Bron due to his nearly perfect record.
Fans of both players strive to reach the top but are unable to do so, hence the
NBA's GOAT argument always ends in turmoil.
