Varanasi: In a clash with his younger brother a 70-year-old Jagdish Vishwakarma in Karsada village under Mehnajpur police station in Azamgarh district killed his younger brother Omprakash (65) by hitting his head with a stick.After taking stock of the incident site Azamgarh’s CO (Lalganj) Bhupesh Pandey on Wednesday said that Jagdish was arrested near Gangwal Panchayat building on Wednesday morning and the stoic used in killing Omprakash had also ben recovered. a named FIR against Jagdish was lodged on the complaint of Omprakash’s wife Shanti Vishwakarma and the body was sent for postmortem, said CO mentioning the killing tok place in a dispute of division of property.During initial investigation of police it came to light that a dispute over property was continuing between the two brothers and their families for a long time. On Tuesday evening, an altercation began between the two parties, which soon turned into a scuffle. During the dispute, both brothers got entangled with each other after which Jagdish struck the head of Omprakash with a bamboo stock. Suffering grave injuries Omprakash fell unconscious. His family members and villagers rushed him to the hospital for treatment, where he died during the course of treatment.On receiving the information Mehnajpur police reached the spot and later took the body into custody.
