5 get life term for murder of biz rival

Court of ADJ /Special Judge (Pocso-2) on Saturday sentenced five persons to life imprisonment for murder of a cable operator over trade rivalry in 2012. According to Special Public Prosecutor Santosh Kumar Singh Nitin Pandey found the accused, Bunty Singh alias Raj Singh, Pintu Singh alias Dileep, Vikram Pratap Singh alias Golu, Bhanu Keshari alias Golu, and Tej Narayan Singh alias Saltu Singh, guilty during the trial. They were sentenced to life imprisonment and fined.Case against the five was lodged with Shivpur police station for beating cable operator Pushkar Shukla to death with sticks and cricket stumps in a dispute over snapping of a cable wire on Dec 16, 2012. The prosecution examined a total of 19 witnesses. There was a Supreme Court direction in the case, which required day-to-day testimony, said the Special Public Prosecutor.
