VADODARA: A rally as well as other programmes have been organised by city-based NGO Sahiyar on the occasion of the occasion of the Human Rights Day on Thursday.
Sahiyar organised a series of events since November 25 to mark the fortnight against the violence against women. On Thursday, the organization will bring out a rally from Mandvi in the walled city area at 3pm.

The rally will condlude at the Ganghi Nagargruh. Plays and songs on women’s rights will be performed in the second part of the programme at the Gandhi Nagargruh. A Sahiyar release stated that all violence including that against women was linked with each other and was violation of human rights. In wake of this, the organization was holding the demonstrations to raise women’s rights on the day.
The Human Rights Day commemorates the day on which the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
