Slovenia finds opportunities in PM’s ‘Make in India’ call
VADODARA: Slovenia has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ call. The central European country is exploring possibilities of offering its technologies to support the campaign.
“We fully understand the growing potential of India. We are exploring how we can bring Slovenian technologies for manufacturing in India. Also, Indian companies can use Slovenia as a hub to cater to the European market,” Darja Bavdaz Kuret, ambassador of the embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in India, said while interacting with media persons here on Monday.

Kuret along with Boris Jelovsek, minister plenipotentiary at the embassy were in the city to attend the fifth convocation ceremony of Parul Institute of Management during which 76 students of the 2012-14 batch of the post-graduate diploma in management were awarded degree certificates.
Bhaskar Sharma, a student from Assam was awarded the gold medal for topping the batch.
The ambassador added that India has been attentive enough to small as well as big countries. “Everyday decision taken by Modi government is showing new hope and new way for India,” Kuret said.
She said that the country is hopeful about increasing the business exchange which is presently pegged at nearly 300 million Euros ($400 million).
Supporting PM’s clean-India campaign, the diplomat stressed that Slovenia’s waste management system, recycling procedure as well as use of garbage for recycling purpose can be used in India to motivate people to take care for their own environment.
The delegates also met representatives from the industry in and around Vadodara during which they presented salient features of Slovenia as a country for investment.
