Six held with stolen cash, ornaments worth Rs 9.8 lakh

VADODARA: The Gotri police on Tuesday caught six persons carrying Rs 5.14 lakh cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 4.68 lakh in two new cars.

, all from Sindhrot, were going from Ghadiyal Circle to Angadh via Sevasi on Tuesday morning. Their cars did not have the number registration plate too.

M V Patel, police sub-inspector at Gotri police station said, “During patrolling in the area, our informer told us that some persons with stolen items are roaming around in the area in two unregistered cars. We intercepted the cars and asked for the registration papers. However, they could not give satisfactory answers. On searching the cars, we found the cash and ornaments.”
