MSU panel to probe ruckus at science faculty
Vadodara: M S University has decided to constitute a fact-finding committee to probe the ruckus created by a group of former and current students during science week celebrations at the Faculty of Science. “The fact-finding committee will probe the entire chain of events including the alleged misbehaviour by the group of students,” said MSU’s officiating registrar K M Chudasama. It is worth mentioning here that all the heads of departments of the Faculty of Science along with the dean have made a representation before the university officials seeking strict action against a group of seven students who were involved in creating ruckus at the faculty. The group had created a ruckus and allegedly misbehaved with teachers of the faculty during the valedictory function of science week celebrations on February 28.They had created disturbance in the program by shouting and using abusive language. A report submitted by the faculty with evidence in form of video-recording and photographs of the incident states that the program was held up for 10 minutes because of the chaos.
The students have been identified as Yogesh Agrawal and Hardik Gajera — both students of Faculty of Technology and Engineering. Five other students who were identified on the basis of video include Jay Valand, Manav Patel, Shubham Parmar and Kuldeep Joshi — all second year students and Prajit Patel, a first year student of the faculty.
