Vadodara: Two farmers drowned after their bike plunged into Narmada canal near Khakharia village of Savli taluka on Monday night.
The bodies of Kamlesh Parmar (36) and Natwar Parmar (33), both residents of Jemalpura village of Desar taluka, were fished out on Tuesday morning.
"Kamlesh had gone to drop his wife at her maternal home and was returning with his relative.

The incident happened at around 7.30 pm. We believe that the area was poorly lit and Kamlesh lost control of his vehicle," said Savli police sub inspector H N Azara.
This is the second incident of drowning in a canal in the district this month. On April 1, Pratham Limbachiya, a 14-year-old from Navayard had drowned in a canal near Chhani. His body was spotted by the locals who informed the Vadodara taluka police. Limbachiya had gone to bathe in the canal with three others who were rescued by the locals. TNN
