VADODARA: After a week of relief, bomb disposal squad and police were once again seen rushing after another letter threatened blasts at SSG hospital's department of obstetrics and gynecology on Tuesday.
The 22nd letter in little over a month was written in Gujarati and addressed to Reeta Parmar, the administrator of Rukmani Chainani Ward at the SSG Hospital.
The letter had names SK Jariwala of Pune University MCM and IPS officer Meera Verma.
The bomb squad conducted a thorough search inside the ward and its surrounding areas but nothing suspicious was found.
"Our team of 12 was divided into pairs and thoroughly searched all the six rooms of the ward. No suspicious object was recovered," said bomb squad police sub inspector M P Chauhan.
The special operations group and the Raopura police also joined the search operation.
"The letter simply stated that there would be blasts in the hospital and everybody should be evacuated. We have asked the security to stay vigilant," said Raopura police P G Patel.
On October 20, a letter was sent to New Era School Makarpura threatening blasts at Navrachna International School and Sabari School. The letter also threatened to send suicide bombers to blast Okha-Ernakulam Express and Karnavati Express.
