IMA Gujarat gets new office-bearers

Vadodara: City-based paediatrician Dr Paresh Majmudar has taken over as president of Gujarat chapter of Indian Medical Association (IMA). Along with Majmudar, Ahmedabad-based orthopaedic surgeon Dr Mehul Shah has taken over as secretary while Dr Tushar Shah, also from Ahmedabad, has taken over as treasurer of IMA Gujarat.
The installation ceremony for the new office-bearers for the year 2021-22 was held on Sunday at a function where state health minister Rishikesh Patel, vice-chancellor of Gujarat University Dr Himanshu Pandya and former MLA Jitendra Patel was present.
Majmudar has served as former president of IMA Vadodara chapter, is currently chairman of Vadodara branch of Hospital Board of India and is secretary of Biomedical Waste Management, Vadodara. “During the year, I want to focus on spreading awareness on adult vaccination, bystander CPR and postpartum psychosis,” he said.
