Drugs worth ₹15 lakh seized, one arrested

Vadodara: Sleuths of the special operation group (SOG) busted a drug-selling racket and arrested a man in the city on Thursday. Resident of Harni Road, Gaurang Shah, was nabbed by the police on basis of a tip-off and seized mephedrone drug worth Rs 15 lakh from his house.When questioned, Shah said that he used to buy drugs from a woman called Varsha in Mumbai. He sold the contraband to customers and earned huge profit. Cops have begun searching for the woman. Accused is also being questioned to ascertain if there are any other persons in his gang. The police suspect that Shah may have roped in more people to sell the drugs, especially to the youngsters of Vadodara.
