VADODARA: Body of the fourth missing man who had drowned in Narmada canal near Khandiwadi in Waghodia taluka was found from around 35 km away on Sunday.

Jhand Hanuman Temple

with his friends Akshay Prajapati (23), Manish Prajapati (18) and Piyush Prajapati (23) on June 30 on their bikes. While returning to the city, all four had gone into canal waters but drowned.

Since they did not return till late night on June 30, their families had started to search for them on Saturday morning. On the route to the temple, the families had learnt that all four of them had got drowned in the canal. While the bodies of Manish and Piyush were found from

on same day and Akshay’s was found from Khandiwadi on Saturday evening but Salat’s body was not found.

Mitesh Prajapati

had told TOI that a rescue team of National Disaster Relief Force from Zarod would begin search for Salat’s body on Sunday but it was found by locals.

Police said that Akshay and Manish, who are brothers, worked in a jewellery showroom and a private company respectively, while their cousin Piyush worked as an accountant.
